NADC will increase capabilities and expand
services NADC for the Billings
Native American and Tribal communities. This includes increasing the
organization's business development services, re-capitalizing our Revolving
Loan Fund, and expanding the food services at the Whistling Water Coffee Shop.
NADC has been instrumental in creating several economic initiatives
that resulted
in new organizations and programs on local, state and national
levels. NADC is
currently implementing new funding strategies with two
partners, Northwest Area
Foundation and Administration
for Native Americans, to increase capacity for
poverty
for Billings Natives Americans and
develop a technical assistance and
training center in Billings.
NADC has hired new staff and moved into a remodeled facility at 221 North
Broadway. Our goals are to continue to assist Native Americans living in
Billings
and on the reservations. In order to be more effective we are
developing strong
strategic partnerships in the Billings and
Tribal communities. NADC is currently
identifying the
gaps in services for Urban Native Americans in
Billings with
strategic partnerships
and organizations through a steering
committee of resources.
The steering committee will develop a proposal for funding consideration by NWAF
within the next year. Housing, Employment, Health, and Education were
identified
as community needs by NADC and will be included in this proposal.
As Executive Director of Native American Development Corporation I implement
the vision and goals of the organization through policies developed by the Board
of Directors. Organizational strategies are developed for the growth and
sustainability of NADC to support the services we provide.
