The Native American Development Corporation has been addressing the economic development needs of urban Native Americans in Billings, MT since 1996. The corporation provides Financial Literacy and Small Business practice education, and operates as a CDFI (Community Development Finance Institution), providing small business loans through a Revolving Loan Fund.

The Corporation has identified a need for a centralized location for the Native American Community to access resources, while also providing an opportunity for artists and tribes to showcase the treasures of Native American culture to the Billings community.

The Billings Native American Resource and Cultural Center is a site that will be established in the city of Billings. It will support the urban Indian population which is approximately 6,000 to 8,000in Yellowstone County. It will also function as a cultural center to represent what Native Americans contribute culturally, socially and economically to Billings and the State of Montana.

Our purpose in establishing this center is to provide another highlight of the vast and rich culture of the Billings community. It will provide a place for museum quality displays and artwork attracting the vast tourism of the area to this location. It will also function as a liaison for Native Americans from around our state offering information, education, business development, job opportunities, and support through collaboration with the City of Billings, the Colleges and other organizations in our city.
